Lisa Horak is a knowledgeable, adaptable and experienced education professional offering a valuable mix of teaching, content development, training, account management, and customer relations experience. She provides a demonstrated ability to consult with clients to identify their needs and present the benefit of solutions and implement successful wins for the client and company.
With over 30 years of experience, Lisa has utilized her diverse skills in both education and business. As a teacher, she worked with various school districts around the state of Arizona, specializing in developing magnet programs for highly gifted children, the first of their kind for the state. While working on her doctoral studies, she taught as a Statewide Campus Instructor for Northern Arizona University, teaching graduate courses for master’s and PhD students in Gifted Foundations, Gifted Methodology, Gifted Minorities and Creativity in the Classroom. She also presented at local, state and national conferences on the needs of Gifted children and the importance of differentiating curriculum commensurate with their abilities. Lisa also worked for software development companies as an Enablement Consultant, successfully facilitating the training process through new client orientation, needs identification and training implementation, developing the plan and materials in order to efficiently and effectively deliver training processes and documents.
Lisa is a mother of two adult children, who themselves were homeschooled for their elementary years, went to a Great Hearts charter school for their middle years and then graduated with honors from a public high school. Their eclectic educational experiences taught the family the value, as well as the challenges, of learning in varied environments.
