Sam Mcclelland

A native of the South, Sam holds BAs in linguistics and religious studies from the University of Virginia. He spent five years discerning the Catholic priesthood, in that time teaching both for Great Hearts Academies and for a private Catholic high school, and developed a passion for the power and importance of schools as a form of ministry to local communities. For nine years he has taken part in producing or refining language arts curricula, and he now puts that experience to work as an editor, focusing on nonfiction and texts in translation. He is married to Betsy, a poet and head of humanities at a classical charter school.
